Metal Siding Installed With Precision, Built to Last

Steel and aluminum siding have caught on with Candler, NC homeowners who want a sleek, contemporary exterior without the upkeep that comes with traditional lap siding. The material stands up well to impact and weather on its own, but getting it installed correctly is a different story, since metal panels tend to run longer than vinyl and leave little room for measurement mistakes. Before a single panel goes up, our team snaps chalk lines across the whole elevation so every run stays true across long stretches of wall.

Because metal expands and contracts far more than vinyl through a typical Candler, NC year, thermal movement is something we plan for at every stage. Panels go in using slotted holes or purpose-built clips that let the material shift without warping, and we leave breathing room at corners, window trim, panel ends, and every other transition. Cut that gap too tight and the result is oil canning, a wavy, uneven surface across the panel face that's tough to fix once the siding is up without pulling panels back off.

We also pay close attention to galvanic corrosion, pairing fasteners and flashing to the specific metal on the wall so two incompatible metals aren't sitting in contact for years to come. It's an easy detail to miss, but the consequences show up later as staining and pitted metal. After #YEARS years installing metal siding throughout the area, we've learned that layout precision and fastener compatibility are what separate siding that stays flat for decades from siding that starts to ripple within a few seasons.
